This healthy, nutrient dense, energizing smoothie has been my regular morning smoothie for few years now, and I love how I feel after I drink it. It wakes me up, gives me energy and really puts me in a great mood for the day. It has a high content of fiber, antioxidants, and is made with real nutrient dense ingredients. I usually have some walnuts, peanuts or almonds with it (to pair the healthy carbs in the smoothie with some healthy fats). Or you can add 1 tbsp of coconut oil in the smoothie.

Servings 1 or 2 - depends on your activity level that morning. If I workout in the morning, I have half of the smoothie. If I have a quiet morning, I take my time and drink it all (plus a serving of peanuts or walnut or almonds).
Ingredients (I usually use all organic):
1 cup spinach
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/3 cup fresh pinnaple chunks
1 inch ginger root, peeled
1/2 lemon, the juice only
2 tbsp raw cacao powder (love the Sunfood Super Foods - Organic raw cacao powder)
cinnamon, sprinkle some
1 scoop protein plant based powder (I use Orgain - Organic protein plant based powder, creamy chocolate fudge)
Add all the ingredients listed above in a blender and blend until smooth.
