About my walk with Jesus
I'm a child of God, born again through faith in Christ Jesus and I delight living under God's grace. I am blessed with a loving husband and a precious son who is the gift of God to us.
I came to a full understanding of what salvation is in August 2008, when I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. However, my walk with God has been exciting and challenging at the same time. God says that the moment we are saved, we are a new creation in Christ. But our victorious living in Christ is being worked out day by day through Jesus Christ. We are changed into Christ’s image as we submit to Him and remain in Him, as we continue in the word of God. This change doesn’t take place over night, but as we keep pressing on towards the goal, as apostle Paul says, we are being changed from glory to glory.
Why do we struggle in our walk with God? After we get saved, God gives us a new identity in Christ and is teaching us a new way of life. However it takes time to learn and act in our new identity in Christ. It takes effort and willigness to do things God's way and not our own way. God showed me a personal example…I came to America from Romania 11 years ago and I had to learn a new language, a new culture, and a new way of relating to people. Looking back now, I remember those first years. They were exciting but hard at the same time. There was a lot of frustration from not being able to communicate and understand the new language and a different way of living. However, as the years passed by I learnt and gained a better understanding of my life and identity.
